Remote Desktop and Distance Learning

Technologies such as remote desktop sharing, web conferencing, instant messaging, and online presentations support live interaction. Audio and video exchange through webcams allows a classroom-like experience despite physical distance.

Remote desktop software enables instructors to share their screens with students in the same way a board or projector is used in a physical classroom. Lessons, demonstrations, and practical exercises can be delivered live.
