Using the Work Analysis Report

Select users and dates, inspect application and website activity, and export a scoped result.

Purpose and required access

Work Analysis helps authorized reviewers examine recorded application and website usage. Begin with a specific question and the relevant group. Activity totals describe collected device events; they do not establish the quality or value of a person’s work.

Read the screenshot in three steps

The numbered notes below explain the screen areas in reading order. The original screenshot is unchanged; example values are demonstration data.

1

Top: choose the scope

Group, Users, From and To define the question. Run Report after changing the filters; confirm the selected people before interpreting totals.

2

Overview: read usage in context

Read active work and idle time alongside application and website usage. An undefined classification is not evidence of personal use.

3

Details: verify one known record

Use the user comparison and detailed activity to explain a total. Check the PDF scope and detail limit before sharing a result.

  1. Open Work Analysis in Activities Report.
  2. Select Group and the intended Users.
  3. Set From and To for the period you need.
  4. Choose a page size and run the report with Run Report.
  5. Confirm that the displayed period and users match the request before exporting.

Read the overview and details

Review active work, idle time and the daily pattern together. The application and website sections show different parts of recorded usage; scroll to user comparison and detailed activity when a total needs explanation.

Use the installed interface’s metric definitions and legend. A quiet interval may reflect a meeting, an offline device or missing collection. Classification also matters: Undefined activity should not be silently treated as productive or private use.

Export and validate

Use the available Summary PDF or Detailed PDF control for the intended audience. Review the PDF record limit and date/user scope. A detailed export can be limited per entity; do not describe a truncated export as the complete event history.

Open the generated document and check the selected people, period and at least one known record. Share only with authorized recipients. Use Scheduled Reports when you need recurring delivery after verifying a manual result.

Common questions

Why is my user missing?

Check the group, selected users, period, collection policy and report access. Compare the station’s current connection before assuming a data loss.

Can I compare two teams directly?

First align the date length, job context, collection coverage and classification. Differences in those conditions can change the totals without reflecting a performance difference.
