Explore reporting
Can I review one employee or a whole team?

Use the user, group and date scope available in each report to move from a team summary to an individual review. Compare people with relevant roles and working schedules.

What do application and website records tell me?

They help you understand which tools and destinations are used and how activity changes over a selected period. Use that context to investigate process delays, training needs or policy exceptions.

Does passive time mean someone is not working?

No. Meetings, calls, reading and other offline tasks may not generate computer interaction. Discuss the context before drawing conclusions from an activity timeline.

Idle time alone does not measure productivity. Review activity in its full working context.

Live Screen Monitoring, Multi-Screen Views & Video Recording

See what is happening now, then use recorded activity when a question requires a historical view.

Live Screens

View current screen activity for authorized operational review.

Multi-Screen Monitoring

Bring multiple screen views into the monitoring workflow.

Video Recording

Review recorded screen activity for a selected time period.

Reviewer Access

Define who can view live screens and recorded evidence.

How is live monitoring different from video recording?

Live monitoring shows current screen activity. Video recording provides a historical record that authorized reviewers can play back for support, workflow review or investigation.

Can we monitor multiple screens?

DeskGate includes multi-screen monitoring. During your demo, show us your device count and monitor layout so we can demonstrate the relevant view. Viewing several computers and selecting monitors on one computer are different workflows; confirm your exact setup in the demonstration.

How are video recordings organized?

Video recording is enabled through group settings. Records are associated with users and date/time information, helping you locate the relevant session rather than review an entire day.

Who should be able to see recordings?

Assign access to the people responsible for the review, define the collection scope and set retention before enabling recording. Screen recordings may contain business and personal information.

Which reports help managers understand daily work?

Activity and work-analysis reports show interaction patterns and active/passive periods. Application and website reports add usage context. Management summaries provide a starting point for a more focused review.

What is the difference between Audit and SIEM?

Audit helps review administrative actions and changes. SIEM supports investigation of alerts from configured detection rules. Security monitoring adds available login, connection and security-event context.

Can reports be scheduled or shared?

DeskGate has a scheduled-report workflow, and reports such as Activity Report provide summary and detailed PDF options. Confirm the required report, recipients and available delivery settings during your evaluation.

Does an alert automatically prove or block a threat?

No. An alert identifies a condition to investigate. The documented Security Alerts workflow does not automatically block activity or send messages. Review the event, selected scope and surrounding evidence before deciding on a response.

Keep monitoring records on infrastructure controlled by your organization.

Your Infrastructure

Prepare your server, database, network and backup responsibilities.

Access Permissions

Assign administrative and reporting access according to responsibility.

Retention Planning

Choose retention and storage settings for your collection scope and review needs.

Where is our monitoring data stored?

In a self-hosted deployment, your organization operates the server and database infrastructure. Plan storage, backups, recovery and retention for activity records and screen/video data.

What encryption capabilities are available?

Documented connection-security options include RSA-2048 and AES-256. Confirm the active settings and connection paths for your deployed versions. Protected secret fields are encrypted before storage; this does not mean every report, database file or backup is automatically encrypted.

How do we restrict access to employee data?

Configure administrative and reporting permissions around responsibility and group scope. Review privileged access and the handling of exported reports as part of ongoing administration.

Remote Desktop & Remote Support Software

Move from understanding a problem to helping the user through an authorized remote session.

GoMyid Windows remote desktop client
GoMyid Windows remote desktop client
How does remote support complement employee monitoring?

Monitoring and reports help identify the context of an issue. Remote support lets an authorized operator connect to the Windows computer and help resolve it. The two workflows serve different purposes.

Which remote connection modes are available?

The GoMyid Windows client provides full control, file transfer and remote command modes. Select the mode appropriate to the support task and the access granted for that session.

Can I connect from Android?

GoMyid offers Android-to-Windows remote access. Prepare the Windows host and authorize access before connecting from the mobile client. Ask to see your intended mobile support workflow in the demo.

Hardware Inventory & Central Management

Connect employee activity with device information, policies and the administrative structure of your organization.

DeskGate central administration interface
DeskGate central administration interface
What device information can we review?

Inventory includes operating-system and network identifiers along with hardware details such as CPU, memory, disks, BIOS and mainboard information. Use these records to support asset review and support preparation.

How do we organize devices and employees?

Use the central management structure for employees, groups and computers. Assign policies and review permissions according to the organization and the responsibilities of each administrator.

Can inventory help a support investigation?

Yes. Device configuration adds context to an issue found in reports or reported by a user. Review the device details, then use the appropriate authorized support workflow.

File Discovery & Endpoint Evidence

How can we locate sensitive files?

Search selected computers by directory, file extension and search terms to locate relevant files. Define the search scope and restrict review access to the people responsible for the investigation.

What do keyboard and USB records add?

Keyboard-event review and USB/file activity provide additional endpoint context. Review the relevant user, application, device and time period, with permissions and retention appropriate to the collection scope.

Stock & Asset Assignments

Can we track assets beyond hardware specifications?

Maintain stock, purchasing and warranty details alongside assigned assets. Review recipients, returns and assignment history to support handovers and lifecycle planning.

Device, User & Schedule Management

How are users and devices organized?

Manage devices and users through the central workspace and the relevant groups. Configure endpoint rules and working schedules for the teams they apply to.

How does support follow-up work?

Use Support Management and support/administrator reports to review support work. Operational alerts identify configured conditions that need attention; assign responsibility for reviewing and following up on them.

Software Deployment & Integration

Can we distribute software or schedule scripts?

Prepare software installation and approved script tasks for selected devices. Review execution and target results to confirm what ran and where follow-up is required.

How do external attendance and call records become available?

Configure a supported integration, map external users and review import results. Combined reports can bring computer activity together with linked attendance and call records; those external records require source-system integration.

Will any external system work automatically?

No. Confirm the supported interface, user mapping and available source data for the system you want to connect. Validate a representative import before relying on combined reports.

Administrator Permissions & Workspace Settings

How granular is administrative access?

Assign administrator capabilities, computer and support groups, and access to management pages. Check the resulting scope with a representative reviewer account.

Where is two-step verification available?

The documented configuration includes authenticator verification for the root account. Confirm the account types and security settings available in your deployed version.

Deployment, Licensing & Demo Questions

What do we need before installation?

Prepare a suitable Windows server environment, SQL database, network access and administrator permissions. Follow the installation prerequisites and confirm sizing for your endpoint count, collection settings and retention.

Can we start with a small deployment?

Plan a representative pilot: select a group, connect the first devices, validate reports, check policies and confirm reviewer permissions. Use the results to agree on the wider rollout.

Which operating systems and features should we confirm?

Confirm the exact Windows endpoint and server versions you plan to deploy, plus the required recording, report and remote-access workflows. Android remote access is a separate client workflow; do not assume it provides the same endpoint-monitoring capabilities as Windows.

How do we choose a license or package?

Use endpoint count, required capabilities and deployment needs to compare packages and pricing. Ask the team to confirm which features and support terms are included in your proposed package.

How much storage or network capacity will we need?

Requirements depend on device count, collection frequency, screen/video settings and retention. Define those inputs before sizing the deployment; one fixed estimate would not fit every organization.

What happens after we request a demo?

Share your endpoint count, main reporting questions and infrastructure plans. The team can focus the walkthrough on your selected capabilities and discuss a suitable deployment scope.

Where can our IT team find setup and troubleshooting guidance?

The Help center covers installation, SQL configuration, permissions, first-device setup and operational troubleshooting. Discuss your support requirements when selecting a package.
