Before You Begin

Inventory context

Technical device information helps identify the equipment but does not by itself establish a formal recipient.

Quantities and recipients

Check the selected items and quantities against the actual handover rather than relying on a default.

Expected outcome

The intended equipment and recipient appear in the assignment record, with returns and history available for later review.

A Practical Review Workflow

01

Prepare stock records

Use Stock Center to review the equipment and its purchasing and warranty information. Confirm the intended item before assigning it.

02

Select the assignment

Open Asset Assignments, choose the relevant equipment and review the quantity and recipient fields offered by the workflow.

03

Verify the handover

Save through the assignment workflow, then inspect the recorded details and history. Reconcile the record with the physical handover.

04

Record and review returns

Use the supported return workflow and check the resulting assignment history before reassigning equipment.

When the Result Is Not What You Expected

An item is not available in the picker

Check its stock record, current state and the available search/filter scope.

The quantity is unexpected

Review the selected item and quantity before saving or approving the physical handover.

The previous holder is unclear

Inspect assignment and return history and resolve the discrepancy with the responsible team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a logged-in user stand in for an assignment record?

No. A technical user observation and a formal equipment assignment have different meanings.

What should we test first?

Use one representative item, recipient and return to confirm the complete workflow with the intended permissions.

Is a record proof of physical condition?

No. Check condition and availability through the organization’s handover process.
